(In PWA mode) Mewk won't launch

If your browser or OS is outdated, Mewk may not launch correctly. Update both to the latest version, restart your device, and try again.

If that does not help, stale app cache may be the cause. Open /flush to clear the cache, then reload the page.

A page won't load

If Mewk opens but a page does not load, first check your network connection. See whether other sites load normally and whether your Wi-Fi or mobile network is unstable.

Stale cache on the Mewk side may also be involved. If loading failures continue, try /flush and then reload the page.

If it still does not improve after waiting for a while, the problem may be on the service side. Please follow the contact guidance in the final section.

The layout is broken or updates do not appear

If the design is broken, buttons look outdated, or updates do not appear, try /flush first.

If it still does not improve, reload the page normally. Browser extensions can also affect the display, so temporarily disabling ad blockers or appearance-related extensions may help.

Performance is slow

If Mewk feels slow, reduced network speed or high device load may be the cause. First close other tabs or apps, wait a little, and then try again.

  • Check whether you have too many browser tabs open
  • Check whether power saving or background restrictions are affecting the browser
  • Temporarily disable ad blockers or script-control extensions
  • Check your browser's hardware acceleration settings

Some elements are not displayed

If some buttons, images, or embedded elements are missing, browser extensions or content blocking settings may be interfering.

In particular, if you use ad blockers, privacy tools, user scripts, or CSS override features, temporarily disable them and see whether the display changes.

Can't sign in / connection expired

If you cannot open the sign-in page, do not return to the previous screen after authentication, or see a message saying the connection to Misskey was lost, try signing in again first.

Open Sign-in page and make sure you grant all required permissions on the Misskey side. If the sign-in screen or authentication result looks stale, /flush may help before signing in again.

Also verify that the server domain you entered is correct and that the server is Misskey-compatible.

CAPTCHA verification fails

If CAPTCHA verification fails when sending a question or contacting us, first reload the page and try again.

Ad blockers, privacy extensions, JavaScript restrictions, or cookie restrictions may prevent the verification component from working correctly. Temporarily disable any likely cause and check again.

If it still does not improve, trying again in another browser or on a different network may help.

The offline page is shown

If the offline page is shown, your device may not be connected to the internet. Please check your Wi-Fi or mobile network connection.

After the connection is restored, use the retry button on the screen or return to the home page and confirm that the display has recovered.

If the offline view keeps appearing even though you should be online, try restarting the browser or running /flush as well.

Still not resolved

If none of the steps above solves the problem, please contact us. It helps if you include the symptom, device, browser, and the steps you already tried.
